In 2010, CBIS engaged 34 companies through 29 dialogues and the filing of five shareholder resolutions. Our issue emphasis remained substantially unchanged from that of 2009, as most of our effort focused on dialogues relating to human rights and environmental concerns. CBIS has established productive discussions with a number of companies in recent years, thereby emphasizing dialogue as the primary form of engagement and reducing the need to file shareholder resolutions. Following is a summary of the highlights of our active ownership program in 2010. This discussion, however, is not a review of all SRI activity during the year. Please refer to the Shareholder Advocacy Directory on the CBIS web site (www.cbisonline.com) for SRI issue profiles and summaries of the recent developments and current status of all company engagements.
