Listen and Watch a Replay of Human Trafficking Webinar
Christian Brothers Investment Services, the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, and Rabbis for Human Rights-North America, invite you to watch and listen to a replay of the webinar "How Individuals, Faith-based Communities and Investors Can Combat Modern Slavery," held on Monday, November 21st.
As responsible investors and people of faith, we have a moral mandate to do everything within our power to abolish human trafficking and modern day slavery. But because this crime is often hidden, we don't always know what we can do to help. This webinar was designed to alert you to the warning signs and to give you practical resources and tools you can use in the fight against human trafficking and slavery.
Ambassador Luis CdeBaca, Senior Advisor to Secretary Clinton and Director of the State Department's Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, was the featured speaker. He briefed the call on the issue of human trafficking, and updated us on the State Department's anti-trafficking work and partnership development. Ambassador CdeBaca also provided information on new tools, including the laws on supply chain transparency, guidelines for businesses on ethical conduct regarding human trafficking, and the exciting new Slavery Footprint website. Beyond shedding light on these resources, he provided guidance on what we, as individuals, faith-based communities and investors, can do in the struggle against slavery.
