Investment Advisor - Midwest Team
The Investment Advisor is responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing institutional clients through client meetings and discussions covering investment strategy and allocation, account performance, new products and market developments. Relationship assignments fall within the Midwest Region and vary in size, complexity and client sophistication. As the primary contact for these relationships, the Investment Advisor develops a thorough understanding of the assigned relationships’ requirements and implements an appropriate service plan for each, subject to the standards and protocol defined by the Participant Services department. The Investment Advisor works closely with the Investment Advisory Services, Socially Responsible Investing and Business Development departments to coordinate support activities and capitalize on cross-sell opportunities for their assigned relationships.
The Investment Advisor reports to the Regional Director. The Investment Advisor works in a team environment without any direct supervisory responsibility but is expected to provide guidance to more junior staff.
At least seven years of industry experience. Given the generalist role Investment Advisors fulfill at CBIS, it is desirable to have experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Relationship management
• Investment consultant relations
• As a product specialist
• College degree
• CFA preferred
• NASD Series 7 and 63 certifications preferred at time of hire; they are required before relationships can be assigned
• Ability and willingness to travel on a flexible schedule
• A willingness to develop an understanding of Catholic religious institutions
• Experience, skill and comfort with public speaking
