Julie Tanner, Director of CRI for CBIS, will speak at the Huether Lasallian Conference November 17-19, 2016, in Chicago, IL. It is the annual gathering of Lasallian educators in the region and will take place at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza in River North. This year’s conference theme is “The Good Samaritan: Confronting New Poverties in the 21st Century.” Julie’s session will focus on corporate engagement and achieving positive change.

Session Description: Attendees will develop an understanding of the challenges and best practices in working with corporations for the common good. They will identify corporations that have been able to deliver positive change across industries and communities and learn about the leading faith-based organizations helping to change corporate practices on issues like human trafficking, climate, child labor, worker’s rights and health.
