On February 26, 2016, William Rybak was named Chair of the CBIS Board of Directors. “We are pleased to welcome Bill to this critical position,” said Brother Michael O’Hern, CEO of CBIS. “We have sincerely appreciated the helpful and objective insights on investment management that he has brought to our discussions, and are looking forward to his leadership as we move forward.” With the announcement, O’Hern also recognized the contributions of Kathleen Almaney, stating “Kathy has served us well as our board chair since 2010, helping to guide us through some difficult market challenges, including the 2008-2009 financial crisis. Her commitment and dedication to CBIS and its mission has been invaluable.” Rybak joined the CBIS Board in 2010 and has extensive experience in the investment industry, both with VanKampen Investments as CFO and as a partner with accounting firm KPMG LLP. In addition to CBIS, he serves on the Board of Trustees of the JNL Funds, and on the board of directors of the Calamos Mutual Funds and PrivateBancorp, Inc. Kathleen Almaney remains a CBIS director having served since 2004.
