CBIS is represented by Julie Tanner, Assistant Director, Catholic Responsible Investing, at today’s London meeting with BP. So far, there has been constant mention of BP’s commitment and understanding of the importance of the climate issue, though there are still issues CBIS would like to see further action on. There are roughly 1,000 shareholders in attendance, including an unprecedented number of institutional shareholders due to the ‘Aiming for A’ coalition. CalPERS is in attendance too – good to see the largest U.S. public pension fund supporting a resolution for a cleaner planet!
