Wyndham creates tools and training to counter child exploitation

The Wyndham Hotel Group is working with Polaris, an advocacy group, to train their employees how to spot sex traffickers. This effort is important, as hotels are a common point for traffickers to exploit victims. Julie Tanner, Assistant Director, Catholic Responsible Investing, at CBIS, noted “It is great news that Wyndham and Polaris have teamed to help prevent child sexual exploitation. With over 7000 hotels, Wyndham can have a major impact and as one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, its actions can influence the industry. We have been working with Wyndham since 2009, and are proud of the role we have played in encouraging the company to take a stand against commercial sexual exploitation of children. We applaud the company for taking these meaningful steps.”
